It was December 2000, when the Greek magazine Jazz & Tzaz offered the "Jazzin' Christmas" CD compilation, with the following liner notes, written by Giorgos Haronitis :
“Celebrating Christmas - and especially this new century - in a more swingy way, we draw on jazz tradition, creating a festive atmosphere over time, from New Orleans spirituals and jazz, to swing and classic Christmas hymns.
Jazz has maintained a strong relationship with Christmas and Santa Claus, with respect but also with humor, giving some classic standards that are interpreted here by personalities such as Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Bing Crosby and Fats Waller. From us, merry Jazzin' Christmas and a happy new year !!!”.
