Friday rocks with ... Nazareth

54 years after the “birth” of Nazareth and fifteen days after the release of their 25th album, it is difficult to sum up in few words the history and influence in the history of rock music of this great Scottish band, so I decided to put together 22 of their songs – hard or soft – to drive my Friday and make it rock!

I invite you [fans or not] to join and enjoy another music journey from the past to the present.

Day4Covers #25 : A Face In The Crowd ... Tom Petty Covered!

Once upon a time in another place, another town I was just a face in the crowd and Tom Petty’s songs, like You Got Lucky and Refugee were among my top favorites (they still are, but it’s irrelevant).

The process of searching Tom Petty songs for this week's cover-songs compilation was enjoyable, as I had the opportunity to listen to some of my favorite songs once again.

Elton John said: “Tom Petty’s music and songs are timeless. He was a wonderful writer, musician and singer. Irreplaceable and unique”. Whether you agree or not, listen to these cover songs and enjoy or search for the originals to compare

Friday Rocks ... twice, with Barclay James Harvest

Today's guest artists surprised me, as their repertoire gave me the opportunity to form the phrase Friday Rocks not once but twice.

I do not mind the fact that according to their official site [www.bjharvest.co.uk], Barclay James Harvest splintered into two separate bands in 1998. Since the untimely deaths of Mel Pritchard and Woolly Wolstenholme, each band now has one original member of BJH, fronting John Lees' Barclay James Harvest and Barclay James Harvest Featuring Les Holroyd.

The compilation is just Barclay James Harvest to me and I like it. I hope you like it too.

DMW # 30 : V.A. - Give Peace A Chance

Talking about peace may seem ordinary, but especially at this time it is relevant. I will not develop my ideas on the subject, I will only limit myself to giving you music, since this is the medium that helps and allows people from all walks of life and from all corners of the globe to be friends.

You can't call this an anti-war song compilation although its title makes you think so.
I chose songs that - for some reason - I like to listen to, trying to form the familiar phrase of the Beatles song with the initial letters of the names of the participating artists.

I hope you'll enjoy it!

Peace and love to everyone!
