Monday's Song : Dropkick Murphys - Until The Next Time

Time has come for me to stop for a while and deal with some health issues [not so serious, thank's God].

I do not want to say anything else, so I let the Dropkick Murphys say the rest.

"Now the time has come for leaving, fear not we shall return

We were so glad we could make it, but so sad we've got to run

Well it might be a long time till we raise another glass

You can rest assured that next time we'll have ourselves a laugh

Yeah we'll have ourselves a laugh

We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when

We all had a good time and we're sad to see it end

Good luck be with you, you go your way, I'll go mine

So until the next time it's farewell and not goodbye"

Thank you all and I wish you the best!!

Friday Rocks with The Ozark Mountain Daredevils

Last night I watched the last episode of crime drama "Ozark", which takes place in the area of Lake Ozarks in Missouri. Next morning, I decided to let the Missouri band Ozark Mountain Daredevils to rock my Friday.

For those who don't know them (!!!), The Ozark Mountain Daredevils are a Southern rock band formed in 1971 at Springfield, Missouri. They are most widely known for their singles "If You Wanna Get To Heaven" in 1973 and "Jackie Blue" in 1974. Some have described the band's sound as a "countrified Steely Dan".
The "Daredevils" name has much to do with the long hair and beards sported by the band in the 1970s, a rejection of the more conservative style of their native South during that decade.

Enjoy and have a nice weekend.

Day4Covers #27 : Second Hand Songs by The Easybeats

The Easybeats became one of the first rock bands to release an album with original songs penned by an Australian ensemble after the release of Easy (1965). Even though vocalist Stevie Wright and guitarist George Young penned the lyrics to all the songs in the band’s debut album and the majority of the next albums, The Easybeats covered some songs, originally released by other artists first.

In today’s compilation you’ll find eight cover songs, plus one written by  Williams & McPherson and as a bonus track a version of their song “St. Louis” covered by Warhouse.

Enjoy if you like.
