I've been waiting for so long ... and the time has come for “Miss you” to be presented. Some love it, some other hate it and I have to admit that I belong to the first team.
"Miss You' is an emotion, it's not really about a girl. To me, the feeling of longing is what the song is" Mick Jagger has claimed.
"As many of their songs were driven by the rhythm
guitar of Keith Richards, ‘Miss You’ seems to be a rare Stones song with a
dominant bassline. The song was written by Mick Jagger jamming with keyboardist
Billy Preston during rehearsals, but it was credited to Jagger and Keith
Richards, as co-writer, like they used to do for all the Rolling Stones
originals, written by either partner or in tandem. This was their first
song released as a 12-inch single and the last of eight #1 hits for The Rolling
Stones in America. When this song hit
the charts, some other rockers felt safe entering the disco waters.”
