Once again, Monday's song has the title "WHY".
It's been 20 years since I first heard Andrew Bird sing "Why" and every time I listen to it, I travel with my mind creating images, as if a movie from yesterday is being shown in front of my eyes. This was the idea that led me to combine Bird's music and lyrics, with images reminiscent of yesterday's faces, to capture my own version of the song's story.
Taken from the album “The Swimming Hour” [released in 2001], “Why" feels like a jazz song from a 1950s film noir soundtrack, as it is noted in allmusic.com.
